APRIL 2019

Dear colleagues,

Welcome to the latest issue of Expressions.

IDP and the IELTS partners recognise the importance of research in IELTS and English language testing and the great work that IELTS preparation teachers undertake to help our test takers achieve their English language goals. To this end, we offer several awards and grants and the call for entries is open for all of them; whether you’re a researcher, a master’s student or an IELTS preparation teacher, we encourage you to apply.

Some of the latest research undertaken involves linking China’s Standards of English Language Ability to the IELTS test, which has proved to be an interesting two-year project.

It’s great to see the positive feedback from test takers who have taken computer-delivered IELTS across the Middle East and Eastern Europe. We’re also delighted to welcome to the IDP IELTS network the team from one of our newest IELTS test centres in Poland.

We welcome your feedback and suggestions for any articles you would like to see in Expressions. If there’s a story from your organisation that you would like to share, please email us at
